2022 $1 Kookaburra Platypus Privymark 1oz Silver Coin Sydney ANDA Money Expo

 This product is issued as a Sydney Money Expo release by ANDA on the 8th of October 2022 at a special retail price of $74.00 to allow ANDA members to purchase the product. As such the product can only be advertised before the official embargo date by ANDA. The Perth Mint and distributors are at liberty to advertise as of the listed embargo date. 

The Perth Mint is proud to present this exclusive Australian Kookaburra as its 2022 Sydney Money Expo ANDA Special. Struck from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965. 

The coin portrays image of a kookaburra perched on an ornamental bird bath among Agapanthus, flowering plants regularly seen in Australian gardens. 

The Perth Mint will release no more than 2,000 of the Australian Kookaburra 2022 1oz Silver Platypus Privy Mark Coin in Sydney Money Expo ANDA special packaging. 

The Australasian Numismatic Dealer’s Association Incorporation (ANDA) is the professional body representing individuals and businesses that deal in coins and banknotes throughout Australasia.

 The coin’s reverse portrays an image of a kookaburra perched on an ornamental bird bath among Agapanthus, flowering plants regularly seen in Australian gardens. The design includes a coloured privy mark representation of a platypus - a furry aquatic creature with webbed feet and a duck-like bill that is the animal emblem of New South Wales. The reverse also incorporates the inscription ‘KOOKABURRA’, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, the coin’s weight, purity and 2022 year-date. 

The obverse bears the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the coin’s monetary denomination.
