35th anniversary design
To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the iconic Australian Kookaburra, the coin’s reverse depicts a majestic kookaburra perched on a tree branch. A privy mark pays tribute to the original Australian Kookaburra coin design, with radiant lines symbolising a sun burst. The reverse also includes the inscription ‘KOOKABURRA 35th ANNIVERSARY’, the coin’s weight, purity and 2025 year-date, along with The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. The coin has been struck with an extra-deep blank to showcase its superbly detailed design in high relief.
