The Imperial Vermilion Phoenix is the second release in the acclaimed Imperial Series, following the sold-out Imperial Golden Dragon. An ethereal bird of Chinese mythology, the Phoenix is revered as a symbol of nobility, resurrection, and yang or feminine energy. Embodying the element of fire, it ignites the brilliance of summer, the heat of the sun, and holds the virtue of righteous governance. Representing the Empress’ grace, the bountifulness of the harvest, and the longevity of a flourishing empire, it soars as a timeless figure of elegance and renewal.
The coin’s coloured reverse portrays an Imperial vermilion phoenix with its wings and tail feathers outstretched as it wields flames of fire and casts heat on sprays of blossoming peonies. Included in the background is a dark night sky filled with drifting clouds and a constellation of stars.
The coin’s obverse bears the Jody Clark effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, the weight, fineness and monetary denomination, along with the 2026 year-date.
