The phoenix is regarded as an immortal bird whose rare appearance is believed to foreshadow happiness and harmony. According to legend, its flamboyant look features many beautiful feathers.
The dragon and phoenix are often paired to represent the opposing yet complementary forces yin and yang. Said to make up all aspects and phenomena of life, their interaction is believed to maintain balance in the cosmos and everything within it.
