The design features a coloured representation of a baby ox astride a gift box. The Chinese character for ‘ox’, the inscription ‘Year of the ox’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark are also incorporated into the design. The coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2021 year-date, weight and fineness, and the monetary denomination.
