To press this special release, which features an appreciably raised relief for stunning clarity, an extra thick blank and deeply engraved dies were especially created by The Perth Mint’s craftspeople.
Year of the Mouse Design
The coin’s reverse design portrays two mice foraging on husks of corn. Also included in the design is the Chinese character for ‘mouse’, the inscription ‘MOUSE 2020’ and The Perth Mint ‘P’ mintmark
Presentation Packaging and Numbered Certificate
The coin is presented in a prestigious red display case with a magnetic lid. Adorned with gold lettering and a geometric design, the case is packaged in a beautifully illustrated shipper and accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. When arranged together, this and the shippers of future coins in Australian Lunar Series III will form a diorama depicting the ancient myth of The Great Race involving all 12 animals in the zodiac.
