2020 Silver Crystal Coin - Tree of Life proof

The unique silver coins with cut Czech crystal are the result of a combination of traditional Jablonec crafts - the medal making of the Czech Mint and the glassworks of the Preciosa company which is unprecedented in the whole world. The motif of the Tree of Life became a new addition to the Crystal Coin gift line in 2020. The coins were quickly sold out and a re-edition with autumn crystal leaves and selective gilding was published due to strong interest.

Whether their meaning is religious, philosophical or folklore, all these trees express the ancient concept of the "Tree of Life", which symbolizes the unity and interconnection of all creatures.

The medal maker Petra Brodská, DiS. dedicated the reverse side of the coin to atraditional depiction of the Tree of Life in a circular composition, while cut crystal stones form the leaves of the tree. Since the coins of the Czech Mint are issued with a license of a foreign issuer, the island of Niue, their obverse side bears its necessary elements – the nominal value of 2 DOLLARS (NZD), year of issue 2020, the name ofElizabeth II. and a portrait of the queen, which is surrounded by decorative branches.
