Lakshmi Gilded Reverse
The medallion’s reverse portrays a gilded image of Lakshmi, the Indian goddess of wealth and prosperity. Coins fall from the palm of the divine figure’s hand as she sits atop a lotus flower, a symbol of beauty and fertility. The design also includes The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
Diwali Themed Obverse
The medallion’s obverse features an oil lamp and a pattern inspired by rangoli, an intricate and colourful Indian art form particularly popular during Diwali.
