This year’s release features a design harking back to Christmas in the bush at a time when settlers used colourful native flora to decorate their homes and verandas.
Native Wildlife Design
The coin’s reverse coin portrays a delightful garland of iconic flowers including golden coloured wattle, red Waratah and Bottlebrush. Within the arrangement are two Yellow Robins, inquisitive and self-assured birds well-known for their piping pre-dawn calls. Also included in the design is the inscription MERRY CHRISTMAS and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
Card Packaging
Each coin is housed in a special star-shaped capsule with a hole for the supplied ribbon to be tied, so the coin can be hung as a Christmas decoration. Presented in a delightful gift card, this coin is the perfect festive present.
