Portraying a delightful design featuring Santa among animals native to Christmas Island, the coin is housed in a card featuring a kangaroo disguised as a reindeer.
Festive Coin and Cover Design
The coin’s reverse portrays Santa Claus with animals common to the external Australian territory including a seabird, black frigate and red crab among Australian foliage. The design also includes the Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.
Affixed to the themed envelope is an official Australia Post 65c stamp and custom postmark for the first day of issue and the envelope includes Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity.

The coloured envelope features stylized artwork of a kangaroo wearing festive reindeer antlers offering a Christmas pudding. Affixed to the envelope is an official 65c Australia Post Stamp as well as an illustrative crab themed postmark denoting the first date of issue, 1November 2019, Christmas Island WA, 6798.
