Today In Flanders Fields is recited at memorial services commemorating the First World War, such as Anzac Day and Remembrance Day. The first verse is one of the most popular and is often featured on tombstones and memorials.

This moving design depicts a gravestone in a field of poppies with the first verse of In Flanders Fields written across it and the date 1918-2018. The design includes a helmet and boots, two red poppies, four larks flying in the background and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark. The coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2018 year-date, and the monetary denomination.
