ICONIC SILVER KANGAROO BACK IN 2018

Characterised by outstanding craftsmanship, iconic artistry and assured purity, The Perth Mint has revealed Australia’s official bullion coin program for 2018. 

Issued annually since 1987, the range of trusted releases offer an outstanding choice of pure gold, silver and platinum coins, each authorised by the Australian Government as official legal tender.

The 2018 Australian Kangaroo Silver Bullion Coin features the iconic and classic artistry of a ‘red’ kangaroo encircled by symbolic rays of sunshine, available for sale in Australia in multiples of 25 coins packaged in tubes, or in a monster box which contains 10 tubes (250 coins). Additionally, these are available individually and each coin is packaged in a protective clear plastic pouch.

This bullion coin has an unlimited mintage and issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965 and bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the year-date on the obverse.

AUTHENTICATION FEATURE

This coin includes an authentication feature on the reverse. In the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the coins heading “AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO’, which is only detectable under a magnifying glass. The authentication feature is designed to make it significantly more difficult for the coin to be counterfeited providing peace of mind to our customers. 

PRESENTATION

This bullion coins are issued in protective acrylic tubes of 25 coins without individual capsules. Each tube is sealed with The Perth Mint’s tamper evident security seal.
